Himalayan Bio Trade

Himalayan Bio Trade, founded in 2000, is a group of three Nepalese co-operatives. Its purpose is to serve as a link between local producers, market and buyers. It promotes local products such as essential oils, hand made paper products, medicinal and aromatic herbs and assures fair prices to producers. HBT's essential oils are distilled from wild crafted aromatic plants growing naturally in the Himalayan regions of Nepal. These oils are sustainably harvested using fair trade practices. All the people involved in the project belong to ethnic minorities and dhalit people. HBT is a producer partner of Magasins du Monde - Oxfam (IFAT member)
