Karen Hill Tribe![]() The women of the Karen Hill Tribe are noted for their ikat (tie-dye) weaving. They weave on back strap looms using cotton threads and natural dyes and some of them embroider with seeds for embellishment. Karen women living in different areas produce their own style of clothing, which gives a rich variety to handicrafts produced. These Karen products are marketed by Thai Tribal Crafts, a Fair Trade Organisation that aims to improve the livelihood of the tribal people in northern Thailand. View Products from Karen Hill Tribe |
