Mme Tantely

Mme Tantely and family are from Ambositra in the south-eastern highlands of Madagascar. They are part of the Zafimaniry, a community whose wood crafting knowledge was proclaimed a 'Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity' by UNESCO in 2003.

These wood crafters work in close co-operation with La Maison Afrique, a member of IFAT and an accredited Fair Trade Organisation.
