Palestinian Embroidery Workshop

The Palestinian Embroidery Workshop is a project of the Melkite Pastoral Center in Ramallah. The project began in 1988 as a response to the desperate need of families at the outbreak of the (first) Intifada. Women suddenly became breadwinners, as men were imprisoned, disabled or deported. The Center provides materials and patterns to women in the surrounding villages.
