The Shanzu Transitional Workshop is a non-profit organisation working towards the advancement and well-being of young women with disabilities. During their time at Shanzu, the young women receive vocational training, learn production skills and tailoring, as well as basic business experience and a vast array of other skills.
The girls are paid a share of the profits when their work is sold. Upon completion of a two-year training course, each girl leaves with a tailoring qualification, a sewing machine and personal skills that better equip her for an independent life.
Shanzu's products have been sourced via Global Crafts, a member of the International Fair Trade Association (IFAT)
